Do I get a 50% or 80% BAFA grant?
The funding rate depends on the location of your company. In the old federal states, 50% generally applies; in the new federal states, 80%. There are exceptions: in the Lüneburg and Trier regions it is 80%, in the Leipzig region 50%. We check the exact rate based on your postal code.
Which costs are eligible?
Consulting fees are eligible up to a calculation basis of €3,500. At 50%, you therefore receive a maximum of €1,750; at 80%, a maximum of €2,800 in grants per consulting engagement. If your costs exceed €3,500, you bear the excess amount yourself.
How accurate is the calculator?
It provides non-binding guidance based on the status in 2026 (funding guideline valid until December 31, 2026). BAFA decides on approval and the specific funding rate. In the free initial consultation, we check your funding eligibility and take care of the application.
Do I have to apply for funding before the consulting?
Yes. The application must be submitted to BAFA before the consulting begins; retroactive funding is not possible. As a BAFA-listed consultant, we take care of submitting the application for you.
